What is the Healthier Choice Symbol?
The Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) is an initiative by the Health Promotion Board (HPB) that makes it easier for consumers to identify products that are lower in sugar, sodium and total fat.
Products with the HCS meet specific nutritional criteria set by HPB, so you can enjoy your favourite foods and beverages with greater confidence.

How the Healthier Choice Symbol Works
1. Nutritional Assessment
Products are assessed based on nutrient levels such as sugar, sodium and Total Fat.
2. Meets HCS Criteria
Only products that meet HPB's nutritional criteria are eligible for the symbol.
3. Expert Review
HPB reviews and approves the product and its nutrition information.
4. Awarded HCS
Approved products are licensed to use the HCS on pack.
